About Me

My name is Cheryl, and on December 29, 2021, my life changed forever when my dear dad, Arthur, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). His diagnosis, “treatment,” and death sent me spiraling into the rawest forms of pain, rage, regret, isolation, disappointment and confusion, as well into the purest experiences of love, hope, gratitude, friendship, and even peace.

This blog is not only about Arthur’s story, but the disillusionment and callousness of modern medicine, our society’s reluctance to confront and speak honestly about death, my own journey through grief, and the beautiful signs from spirit that confirm Dad is still very much alive.
